Awards
It would make his mother proud. In 1998 Tony became the Brasilia Scottish Bar Man of the Year. This took him to London where he was voted third best bar man in the whole of the UK.
Vittorias has won the Edinburgh Restaurateurs Association Gold Award for both years - 2004 and 2005. This is a big award to have won two years in a row.
It's not just Tony that's top class though. Vittoria's won the 2001 Best Italian Restaurant in Scotland award from HIYA Magazine.
Critical Acclaim
The critics have a love affair with Vittoria. This is what they had to say in recent reviews:
"Walk into a warm, welcoming atmosphere at Vittoria Italian Restaurant, only a stones throw from the heart of the capital city. An extensive menu offers a mouthwatering choice of freshly prepared pasta's, steaks, pizza's, grills and omelets, enhanced by a variety of drinks available from the bar, including Italian favourites such Sambuca, Strega, Ameretto and Grappa."
R.S.V.P. Scotland
"Friendly staff, generous portions and informal atmosphere made my visit to Vittoria's a memorable experience highly recommended."
The Scotsman
October 1995
"Vittoria - On the corner halfway down Leith Walk, a neighbourhood Italian Cafe, which is cheap, cheerful and open late. Fry-ups and Pastas and ice-cream concoctions. Forget Burgerland!"
